how is it like? how's social scene? how's its facilities and equipments? co-ed? strict? etc?

Assuming you mean the Wellness Living Learning Community - same facilities as the rest of the campus and it is co-ed. It's just one dorm set up with programs and some extra house rules (longer "quiet hours," etc.)

As for strict - I am not sure how "active" in the program a resident has to be; my guess is that the "strict" part will be in refraining from alcohol, tobacco, and firearms...erm...drugs. Though just how that will be monitored or enforced is unclear to me.

If you're in wellness, you will likely be in Brown. The WLLC is definitely for some people and not for others - make sure that you are making the decision not your parents. As far as enforcement, the RAs are there, but I think it's largely self-enforced by the students.

It's not monitored or enforced particularly well, as told to me by Brown students. If you want to talk to someone who has lived in Brown and is ambivalent about it (liked some parts of it but disliked others), email me at jtm10 AT duke DOT edu and I'll send you her email address.

it is not strict, you don't have to go to most (if any) of the programs, the RAs in there will definitely be a little more strict than other dorms' but it is mainly self enforced. There were definitely a couple of bottles going around the last few weeks of school....
