Are there such things as pro-health dormitories at Duke where incoming freshman live with other freshman in pursuit of promoting an active healthy envmt..?

Yes, Brown is the healthy living dorm. It's on the main quad next to the marketplace.

Alspaugh (and its Alspaugh-holics) is the opposite of Brown. :)

So, just curious, if I wanted to bring say my Yoga and fitness experiences to a pro-health dorm such as Brown, would it be a good thing to mention on my application?

Alspaugh...the stories I've heard...lol

Most of them are probably about my neighbors on the 2nd floor lol.

To the OP- I honestly don't see too much of a point in mentioning it, because many schools offer substance-free/healthy living dorms; Duke is not unique in that aspect.

You won't have time for yoga.

ah you will to have time for yoga...it will probably be refreshing. It just requires good time management and study skills...then you'll have time.

haha loveduke22, what stories???

I've just heard that Alspaugh is full of a lot of crazy parties/ers...lol.

Haha- you certainly can say that for sure :D
