<p>If there an advantage to admissions if you are a woman doing engineering? I haven't been able to find the statistics anywhere for the percentage of women applied and admitted to SEAS.... it says 30% of the class is women but it doesn't say how many women applied and got in.</p>
<p>Yeah, it does hhelp, just as it's easier for a guy to get into nursing.</p>
<p>I don't know how much it helps, though.</p>

<p>i'm pretty sure being a female engineer helps.
I still consider myself lucky for getting in despite being female.</p>
<p>Being female is a big boost--almost double the acceptance rate for males. Even bigger, if you plan to attend grad school for engineering.</p>
