Even in a class of 50, if everyone is participating, no one is going to get out of there anytime soon.

Depends on your definition of “participation”. In large lecture halls participation is usually restricted to iclickers.

maybe the women are being efficient and not wasting time with off topic comments. :smile:

(I used to hate it when students who would speak just to hear themselves talk or ‘argue’ with the prof; total waste of time in large lectures.)
