Women's Basketball at WUSTL?

How good do you have to be in order to play on their basketball team?
Being NCAA champions for a number of years I am not exactly sure because it is division 3 (not to say d3 isn't great, plenty of d3 sports teams can play and can beat d1)

They are D3.

The especially renowned sports at Wash U (basketball and volleyball) are incredibly challenging and time-consuming.
I’d highly encourage your daughter to contact the women’s basketball coach. Most serious prospective students for the sports, during your senior year of HS, will stay over night with a member of the team and go to a practice.

Wash U probably has the most intense varsity sports program for a Division 3 school. There is definitely a great balance of academics and athletics, and there is a GREAT and supportive community amongst the varsity sports players, but you should definitely be aware that it is about as a far away from a “walk-on” team as you can get - especially for women’s basketball.
