women's crew - official visit? admissions question!

Hi all,
So I'm an applicant for the c/o 2016, attended NASS, and have been talking with the women's crew coach for the past year and a half (I rowed with her at summer camp last summer). Navy's been my dream school for quite some time now. The coach emailed me a few days ago asking if I'd like to come down for an official visit, and of course I quickly responded yes.

My question is: I know for big sports like football, being a recruited athlete means a lot, but what about for smaller sports like crew? How much will being a recruited athlete increase my admissions chances?

My SAT scores are 1320 (out of 1600), grades are good, mostly As and B+s. Passed the CFA, probably passed medically althou still waiting for results. My essay is pretty good, just polishing it up at the moment.

Thanks so much!!!

They (coaches) have chits to play. Being a recruited athlete in minor sports will not hurt one bit. Sounds like you have a fine record and app. Go get 'em! Or as crew are wont to say … ROW NAVY!
