I thought we (US) looked pretty good. That game easily could have been 6-0, 7-0. But that’s soccer – it’s pretty hard to put all shots on goal, to convert all golden opportunities. I can live with 3-0 – that’s a solid result.

The U.S. was lucky the Vietnamese keeper was incapable of keeping a ball from going through her legs.

I don’t watch soccer but my husband was disappointed to learn that our streaming service, Directv, is not carrying the world cup because of some contract dispute with Fox Sports or something. It’s not worth it to him to pick up a different streaming service to see it. He thought he was completely out of luck but he found it somewhere streaming in Spanish. He doesn’t speak Spanish but found it watchable nonetheless.

The US/VN game was on ‘regular’ Fox TV here (the local channel). Not sure how much it will show of non US team games.

I assume you copied those from a listing, but here our local station isn’t called Fox Sports, just Fox. There are also two Fox sports stations on cable/satilite, FS1 and FS2. FS1 has the other World Cup games on, and some repeats (I saw the US/Viet Nam game will be on tomorrow morning).
Just pointing that out in case someone is looking for a game under ‘Fox Sports’ and can’t find it as here it would just be under Fox - as opposed to FS1, FS2, Fox Weather, Fox News, Fox Soul (not kidding) and a bunch of Fx stations that may or may not be Fox affiliated.
Or my personal problem that the TV downstairs keeps dropping YouTube and currently won’t let me re-add it so I’m limited to antenna channels or some of the streaming services. Cutting the cable cord wasn’t as painless as I’d hoped it would be.

I thought that Zambia played better then the scoreline showed.
Gutted for Haiti-- other than that one moment of losing their brains I thought they played great.

Super glad that Jamaica got that point. The second yellow was weak, IMO.

The Netherlands has a lot of confidence. Can US step it up a notch? I’m sure they’ll bring it.

I’m not a huge soccer fan but find myself up at 3 am watching Spain v. Zambia.
I don’t get off-side, but it appears neither do the announcers who keep saying goals will be called back because of off side, but then they aren’t.
I’m also fascinated by the uniforms. Some look like they are 20 years old with the names sewn on the back by hand. Old school.

US games was tale of 2 halves. The US really bossed the 2nd half. Should be an interesting matchday 3
