Hello everyone,
I am Kyle, 21, and a Senior Sociology major at the University of Texas at San Antonio. I should have my degree by May, and I will be immediately pursuing grad school. I want to study my Master's for Professional Counseling at Texas State.

However, I have a few concerns. Firstly, there was a semester when I had 3 W's, and 1 F. The following semester I made an F, C, W, and A+. However, prior to that, I had made all A's and B's; I even made the President's List!

Texas State requires a 3.0 GPA in last 60 hours taken, and a GRE preferred score of 291 with no less than 150 on verbal and a 141 on quantitative section.

I currently hold a 3.15 GPA, and I messed up really bad last fall and spring.. I was sick, and kind of let things go. I have since gotten better (my summer courses I made A's), and hope to make better grades now. My GPA should improve quite well. I have an internship at Mother's Against Drunk Drivers, am a great essay writer, and I think I have 3 qualified references. The Statement of Aspiration can be no longer than 750 which may be hard for me.

I was wondering if I have a chance? Or should I bring up my GPA and not graduate until later?
