Wondering...

I'm wondering if US high schools prep students for SAT/ACT in school... (if so, I'd envy American high school students so badly!)

(I live in Canada... and there's no admission exam for universities/colleges. All we submit is transcript & recommendation.)

Nope, SAT and ACT prep is entirely independent of classes.

actually there is a class at my school called “reading and rhetoric” that is known to prepare for the CR and mostly W portion of the SAT. however, we learn the same things as people do in AP eng. my school has no AP classes…so…we have r&r

Some schools offer it as an elective, but most don’t. Mine doesn’t… some teachers will do general prep things though. For example, we might have a math worksheet with something that wouldn’t otherwise be taught, but is known to be on SATs. English teacher’s sometimes talk a bit about it in class.

Thank you all for answering such a random question :P
