Yeah, if I get in, it's gonna be really weird transitioning from being taught by incompetent a-holes to some of the very best professors in the world.

I was actually stunned by the envelope. I was like..."I think they messed it up...I got in again?" Hehe.

Actually, some of my friends didn't get it while being accepted EA. Their grades dropped too much, and got a letter saying that if they don't pull up their grades or explain the grade drop, well...

wow....OMG! we used the same US History book..omg that book was sooo boring but i would sooo love to meet that guy! how so cooool!!!

neways...i can't decide which expos i'm gonna attend because they all sound soo good. Which ones are you planning on going to, deepdown?

Yeah, the American Pageant memories. David Kennedy's style is so funny- I loved "looms largely" used constantly and the absurdly overblown metaphors. "Americans gladly refrained from chopping off heads when they could chop down trees" and things like "The rut was religion. And the cart was the church of england. The boy selling rolls on the side of the street was the American Revolution, and the rolls were rolls of resounding victory" (well, okay, I made that one up).

I remember my whole class was reading quietly until we found "pubic schools" in it; the class was disrupted for the rest of the period ("I wonder what they teach there?" "I wouldn't buy anything from their cafeteria," etc.).

hahahaha..oh yea..man..his metaphors are soo weird..they're so awkward for a history book..its like not even a history book it's almost a piece of literature..it's gonna be interesting to meet that guy.

SpeedyPenguin - how low were their grades that they got the letter?

I think a whole point drop.

Cardinal 09---LOL, yeah I remember everyone in my U.S. history would also complain about how boring the book was! Actually, it wasn't so bad... history books aren't exactly scintillating drama.

I don't know which expos I'm going to either. They do all look really good. I think the Kennedy one and another one about "do you have to study journalism to be a journalist" looked interesting because I want to go into journalism, lol. I guess it depends on what you're most interested in... what you planning to major in?

i'm planning on majoring in either biology or human biology...so for the expos i'm leaning towards the ones that deal with evolution and neuroscience...but i also want to go to that one about stonehenge...man..its gonna eb so hard to choose!
