the second congratulations envelope is wicked cool. i'm psyched all over again :)

I know-me too! :)

It feels kind of weird receiving a big envelope from Stanford, with "Congratulations" written on it, and not jumping up and down in pure joy.

I definitely agree...the contents were wicked cool. I really am excited about Admit Weekend now, the schedule looks informative and fun. You know you belong at Stanford when you think one of the most exciting things is a lecture on history. :P See you all there, hopefully.

i know....i love the envelope..at first i was like "wait did they mix up my app with the regular round?"...but wow it is so freakin awesome..especially the magnets...its these types of little things that makes me <33333 Stanford...Go Cardinal!

getting the envelope again was simply surreal

I mean, that envelope pops up in my dreams every once in a while...to suddenly get another one, unopened, was just strange...

btw, did anyone else notice that the font and kerning on the mailing label changed since december :)?

I was a bit confused too, but I figured it would be Admit Weekend stuff. I guess they just have too many "Congratulations!" evelopes so they're getting rid of some.

what...the...i didnt get one...

hmmm...must wait for it, i guess. what was the postmark date?

I also thought they had messed up my name w/ the regular round, but then i remembered the RD decisions come out in april, so i figured it's admit weekend.

But it sucks cuz i can only miss one more school day or else I will not be exempt from finals (we can have a grand total of 3 absences per semester). So i'll most probably arrive on friday. :(

Yeah, paulhomework... doesn't that suck? My third (and last) absence will be spent at Amherst. Ugh, I should have just gone to school instead of staying home when I was sick and puking.

Our school district is dumb. LET'S GO ON STRIKE!

Yay, my 100th post.

paulhomework. i have the same final exemption policy in my district. it's a bummer. i've allocated 2 of the 3 to admit weekend and i'm saving 1 for funnn.

You guys already got the letters??? What was the postmark date.. ?

oh wow, we can miss eight classes before we have to take finals (lol, and i'm planning to miss seven by the end of the semester)

Did y'all acceptees get likelies as well? Congrats, by the way!

most of us are EA acceptees - so we heard in december without a likely letter.

but to anyone else who hasn't confirmed yet - weren't there sooo many sheets about confirming our place? it's so funny how desperately we wanted stanford, and now they're really courting us to get us to come.

i know....it feels so good to know that all these 4 years of hard work and toil have paid off and now STANFORD wants me and STANFORD loves me....ohhh...i <33333 Cardinal!

I don't have it... cry cry Am I out already?

Cry for me too, lol. Hey testdasi, let's form the club of successful Stanford deferred people - and, let's stay connected and see how well these so-called winners in SCEA perform in the long run.

I was just looking at the list of presenters in the Admit Weekend booklet and I saw that there's going to be lots of cool lectures. I want to go to the one by David M. Kennedy 'cause he co-wrote the American Pageant, which is the history book my school uses for U.S. history. Oh man, my U.S. history teacher always would talk about that BOOK. It's kind of surreal to think about going to a college where the professors are the ones who wrote your books :)
