And we get free CWRU shirts:) cool!

@thericarlson Here is a comparison between Purdue and CWRU. Keep changing the different schools and have at it
[College Cross-Admit Comparison: Purdue University vs Case Western Reserve University | Parchment - College admissions predictions.](<a href=“Compare Colleges: Side-by-side college comparisons | Parchment - College admissions predictions.”>Compare Colleges: Side-by-side college comparisons | Parchment - College admissions predictions.)

Cahsparent-Thank you!

wait are we supposed to get free t-shirts? Do they send those to you later?

Case didn’t give me any money for financial aid because of my scholarship so I won’t be attending! I hope one of you on the wait-list will get my spot and be able to go!

OK, so I called the admissions today and asked about scholarships. With a 2310 SAT and 4.0 GPA, I didn’t receive any scholarships. And the admissions told me that was because I am an international student. And they have “limited” scholarships for internationals. Well, that’s very “limited”!

That’s not “fair” but it does make sense. The number of international applicants have been increasing for the past 7-10 years so competitive universities can be really picky. Good luck with your college choice.

@RedYellowBlue, Yeah…I totally understand. But what I don’t like is the fact that before I applied to Case Western, the admission officers told me and my college counselor that there are “bunches of” scholarships for international students, and some of them are full rides! I wouldn’t have applied to Case if I knew beforehand that Case doesn’t have many international scholarships to offer. Now I can’t go to this school because of affordability. I guess Case should be more responsible for what they say to prospective international students.

I had a 3.7 GPA in high school aka top 10% of a super competitive law magnet school and a 2200 on my SAT’s with lots of extracurriculars, and leadership positions.
I was accepted with a merit scholarship of $25,000. I just applied for financial aid just in case I do end up going here.

@WaitingGirl, yea that sucks, I live abroad, but got my green card last year, so that made it much easier to get money. With stats like that you should get into a higher caliber school that has more money to spend on int’ls, good luck I’m sure you’ll do fine.

We just got S’s acceptance packet in the mail today - who else get the amazing offer of an all-expense paid trip to Cleveland?!? We were shocked!

Accepted: Idk what my gpa is on a 4 point scale, but it’s 92 on a 100 scale, at a very competitive specialized HS. 2220 SAT, not very many extracurriculars, but very devoted to those few. $27500 Merit Scholarship.

Got in with a $25,000 University scholarship! 3.96 GPA, 2260 SAT. I heard that I could transfer my community college credits (I have a bunch), so I’m seriously considering! =D

GPA - 3.5
Weighted - 4.0xx
ACT - 32
IB Diploma
Good amount of EC’s (around 10 solid ones), lots of philanthropy
3 Sports, 4 years, mostly all varsity

Wasn’t expecting much, maybe an acceptance, but got in with a 1/2 ride!

Other schools : UMich deferred (in state), DePauw University 1/2 ride, WashU denied, Colorado College ED2 deferred. I haven’t had a good track record as far as acceptances go, so this makes me feel a little better. Still waiting on Middlebury, Washington and Lee, Hamilton, Davidson, and Wesleyan. Hopefully I get in one of those top tier liberal arts schols!

Good luck to those who were denied/deferred - my sister always tells me that you will end up where you belong, and I truly believe that!

@megan12: I got the offer for the all-expense paid trip, too! At first, I didn’t bother to read the tiny print on the “boarding pass,” assuming that it was just a cute way to invite me to attend CWRU. Not sure if I’ll take advantage of this offer, but it certainly is a nice touch.

Accepted
SAT: 2180 (670/800/710)
GPA: 3.90 UW, 4.60 W
$30,000/year scholarship
Still gonna be too expensive
