EA Applicants class of 2015

Come out, come out, wherever you are.

I applied too! I’m really anxious to see if I got accepted. I’m hoping they give results out before the December 15th date…it’d make my day. What major are you looking at studying?

Right here! ************** says case western is easy to get admitted to, im hoping that’s pretty true

Case has a high acceptance rate, but the applicant pool is largely self selecting. Most applicants are very qualified, but also apply to schools like U Rochester, Carnegie Mellon or WUSTL. Frankly, IMHO, it’s a bit more geeky than those other schools and a lot of people have bad opinions of Cleveland. But even coming from California, the school and city really clicked for us (especially DS) which was a big surprise. He’s now a very happy BME major at Case.

This thread has a good discussion of the Case acceptance rate.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/694597-why-does-case-western-reserve-university-have-high-acceptance-rate.html</a></p>

There are a few schools that are easy to get into, but notoriously hard to graduate from. One example is the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. Not high on the radar in high schools and homes that frequent CollegeConfidential. But USP has a very successful and VERY TOUGH pre-med and pre-pharmacy program. The word is that the place is definitely ‘weed-out city,’ but survivors do well. Could be the same for CWRU.

i applied but i just got deferred from georgia tech so im really not that hopeful of getting in EA anymore

Junior011: DS was accepted RD to both Case and GR. I’d say you have an excellent chance at both schools for RD. Can’t say about EA.
Good luck to all!!!

I meant Case and GT.

The website you linked to is not even up yet.

The link I posted?
I just tried it again and it worked fine.
You could also do a thread search and it would show up there.

I was responding to a post that contained links that has now been deleted. I guess she was considered a spammer.

How does Case notify the EA admitted students? Do they send something in the mail, or did EA students get sent some kind of log in to check admit status online?

Actually they don’t like the posting of competing/similar sites.

Results were posted online on the 15th last year:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/case-western-reserve-university/825849-case-early-action-decisions.html</a></p>

So I assume you must have some sort of a login to check your application status.

i applied ea  i’m nervous, haha i hope i get in :)

did anyone receive any kind of login information through email or anything regarding the app status? I never received any emails from Case after submitting, but I did call them and they said they did have all my materials. But I was wondering if I missed out on some login info or something

No, my daughter never received any type of login info or website info for application status check (she called and was told that her app was complete) so I’m assuming that the EA decisions will either be released by email or more probable, by snail mail. Does anyone know for sure?

After applying early action they sent me an e-mail saying they received the application and they would e-mail me as soon as my application was complete, which I haven’t gotten yet… They also said early application students should hear back about their decision before or on December 15 (including merit-scholarship). No login information/account was given. I’m hoping to hear back soon though :)

S applied in early October for EA and never heard back. I called yesterday and they looked up his file and said they should have send an email to his account but did not see any record so someone forgot. Admission told me to look for an email this weekend (might check spam to make sure that it doesn’t end up there).
