Word Count/Character Limit Question--Scripps College

<p>Hello!</p>

<p>On the Scripps Common Application Online Supplement (for transfers) it says that there is a 1000 character limit, but the actual directions just say there is a 250 word limit (both on the common app site and on their downloadable supplement from the Scripps admissions site). I'm thinking about mailing in my supplement separately. Do you think that I should abide by the 1,000 character limit or the 250 word limit?</p>

<p>Call Scripps and ask. And if it’s the 1k characters, ask if spaces count.</p>
