<p>Saint_Paul, the reason I asked is because my English teacher does word counts differently. He doesn't count articles, the word "of", and the word "and."</p>
<p>Well I remember that I had this crazy 7th grade english teacher who wouldn't count articles or prepositions that were four letters or less, but yeah, usually word limits are put in place so a) you generally know when to stop and b) they really don't care if you go over by a few words as long as what you're saying is worthwhile.</p>
<p>yeah, that's why the word count in microsoft word is constructed the way it is. if those didn't count, then m.word probably wouldn't count them either. but it does.</p>
