First time in, “hard,” mode.
I had though the black squares meant someone was playing in hard mode, but that is what shows up when one uses, “dark” mode. Ds taught me that the asterisk * is what indicates whether a player is using hard more or not.

Ha, no temptation for me to do hard mode. I struggle enough as it is!

Type “Wordle” into the Google search bar and then look to the left of the bar in the results page. It’s a little Easter Egg from Google.
