My new rule when I can think of two possible words… use the one I wouldn’t normally choose! If I’d followed my instinct this would have taken four guesses.

just curious, do most of you play on Hard mode or regular? I play on regular.
I have it set to regular mode but think I play by the hard mode rules (always use previously identified letters).

I’m still playing in regular mode, with two of my small stable of starter words to eliminate consonants. Worked better today than yesterday.

So it takes me 4 shots but my timing is faster.
I don’t know the rhyme or reason.
But….I’m still enjoying it.

Back to 3 tries for me today!
I don’t always remember to set it to hard mode, but I always play it that way. For some reason mine won’t stay set on hard. I’m not sure why.

I hate it when that happens. I was in the same spot today, but got lucky and guessed correctly.

It would be a different game entirely if they accepted all letter combos instead of only real words, that is for sure. Instead, I’ve come to appreciate the number of legitimate words that differ by only one letter…

Because the winning word has several that rhyme with it, so when you’re that close the guess is really just a crap shoot.

Wordle 222 4/6 I used a second word to hit all vowels. Then it was which order were they in.
