Every now and then I’m surprised by an accepted word. On a random game I tried “twixt” quite simply because I couldn’t think of anything else that would work with the letters left. As the abbreviation of “betwixt” I didn’t expect it to work, but it did. I looked it up and is also acceptable in Scrabble. I learned something.

Yes…in random games I’ve had answers be things I don’t think of as words (more like prefixes) and accepted guesses that are pretty weird (some seem like they ought to be proper nouns). It seems to use a very big dictionary for acceptable guesses!

Yes, I was surprised “fella” was considered a random word too. I always thought of it as slang.

Just used “fella” as my starting word on a random. It worked great as the answer was “flack”. Got it in 2!
