My first two guesses were not from my usual favorites. My daughter sent me her results and I saw that she had struck out on her first two guesses, and that made me decide I should try some different words since I know we tend to think alike.

I expected you to get this.
Based on a nudge from my daughter, I have been practicing Quordle. I believe it is a metaphor for multi-tasking. I have to solve one at a time, and cannot strategize over all four words for all nine guesses. It means I often get only three of the four words. Is anyone trying to multi-task across all four words? I learned 20 years ago that I was trying to be a multi-tasker (high-powered job, family, house, dog) but not a good one.
But when I did get 4 words two times in a row, I was hooked, and now I love it. (Retired down-sized empty nester with no pets.)

I just tried the Quordle for the first time.
Holy cow my ADD went into overdrive.
I’m going to have to practice on that one to make it fun.

I have found a strategy on quordle where the last three times I’ve gotten it in 5,6,7 and 8

I can solve Quordle in 8 tries most of the time, but have done it in 7 tries six times so far (out of 50 practice games). I’ve definitely had some fails where I didn’t get it, especially before I figured out a better strategy. But getting under 7 tries will require a crazy amount of luck, for me at least.

my parents used to play hangman on napkins in the 60s while waiting for food at restaurants. so tonight, i taught my spouse/kiddo to play wordle with paper/pen while we were waiting for dinner. It was so fun! i used two words from the last week from online.
