Work of Fiction/Fictional Character

So....this is basically the topic I'd want to choose for CommonApp, but I got some questions

I'd want to look at Ayn Rand and don't know if I should look at The Fountainhead as a whole, or just Howard Roark (protagonist) ...or both haha

Also, I'm a little worried my topic might not be well responded to (for those who know of her). I'm not a full Objectivist or anything and consider myself a nice person, but I also don't want to get into a huge philosophy thing now or in the commonapp (I prefer to be concise).

Anyways, this a genuine passion. After reading the book, I seriously do considering each choice/event through a new perspective, so I am legitimately influenced by it. So, assuming I can write well, can this work? ANY ADVICE?! (see that can be argued not to be Objectivist right there haha).

PS: For a senior project I have to do, Ayn Rand will be my topic.

THANKS! :)

That topic sounds fine. Make sure you make your essay personal, and that it’s mostly about you. Like how the book influenced the way you see things.

Yea, I forget to say earlier, but I’m just a little concerned that it might come off as stiff; I mean I want it to be both intellectual AND personal.

Thanks though!
