ok so i accepted the work-study thing on the award summary....but then i realized on e-bills that im all ready paying the full tuition....so can someone explain to me what work-study is ....and how it goes into our tuition?

work study allows you to be hired for an on campus job where your pay is funded by the work-study program, thereby not costing your employer as much as it would if you were not work study. There is no guaranty you will get a job or work enough hours, but you are funded to a certain amount.

The $$ go to you, not to the school, you can spend them however you like.

The other advantage over an ordinary job is that the FAFSA subtracts out work study earnings and does not count them "against" you for determining your next year's financial aid. Oh, also, generally no taxes are taken out (FICA, etc.)

oh thats cool
