Work Study Jobs

When do we apply for work study jobs? Should we apply now, even though we don't really know how our schedule is going to work out? Or should we wait to apply on campus, even though some of the good jobs might be taken? Thanks!!

You can do either. I set up interviews during the summer last year and still didn’t find a job until like October. You can always say no if a schedule changes.

You can also wait a semester to find a work study job, just so you get settled in and get the feel of things. Thats what I plan on doing.

Do you know generally what the pay is for work study jobs at Penn?

The sooner the better!!!

Just look on the PennInTouch link to all the available jobs. Each one has the pay listed next to it.

Yeah, I saw that by the job listing the pay was always like $7.25. I thought I had heard somewhere that Penn has an on-campus minimum page of like $9. Maybe it was just wishful thinking. : (

I think that it was like $12 and I think that was Yale.

it’s mostly 8 dollars for basic skills ones
