Work Study Jobs

the list is sooo long.. any suggestions to help sift through all the options? a job where you just sit there and do homework most of hte time would be nice, but a meaningful community service one woudl be too. there just seems to be too many that seem good to me... (i'm a sociology / urbs incoming freshman) thanks!

yeah im looking at these job listings and wondering when the list ends.
got questions, too:
when do the applications for these open up?
do we apply as soon as we get on campus, or now?
are they first-come, first-taken or do they evaluate the applicants' resumes?
can i apply for more than one job?

bump......

bumping your own posts is lame.

apply as soon as you can. it's a mixed bag, depending on the individual employer, as to how long they wait collecting applications before making decisions.

as to whether you should take a workstudy job that gives you time to do hw or do a more serious one, that's entirely a personal decision...

I only did workstudy in the summer my last two summers, figuring that freetime was better than working for my grades, but now that I need to be thinking of summer internships (I'm applying for some summer jobs as early as November!) I'm looking to get one of the few good workstudy jobs this semester for something else on my resume.
