So if I participate in the Federal Work-Study, will everyone (all my friends next year) know that i come from a poor family? Do just very poor people do work-study?

Work Study is a job on campus. Lots of kids have jobs on campus, and not all of them are work-study. How will anyone KNOW yours is a work study job?

I cannot imagine how anyone would know your job was WS. I work on my campus, I have never had anyone say/ask if I was WS or from a poor family. I know plenty of kids who apply for housing leadership positions which give you housing expense.....nobody thinks they are poor. Maybe you are just worried about attending a school where folks can pay their 50grand out of pocket. Are you from a public school and worried about entering a private college???

Work study is not just for poor people at all...My family's income is 100,00+ and I was offered work study...in fact, it's one of the first things a FAO will put on a package bc it is not free money...good luck in school!
