<p>Internships are one of the best ways to gain work experience and to demonstrate that experience to potential employers. However, your gained experience is only as beneficial as the internship opportunity allows. You wouldn't take away as much from an internship where you mainly made copies and organized office supplies.</p>

<p>There are a lot of different places you can find them. Websites like internmatch.com or internships.com let you fill out a profile and then they suggest internships you might be interested in applying for. They indicate whether the internship is virtual or on-site in its description.</p>
<p>Love this topic! Virtual internships are democrizing (i.e. you don’t have to live in a certain area, say SF or NYC where there’s a lot going on and consequently don’t have to move). Plus, more and more people chose to have a virtual ‘career’ (so working remotely, from home, either as freelancers, entrepreneurs or as part of a remote team), so virtual internships are, in my opinion, the future.</p>
<p>The relationships that you build in the office is one of the most important things you can get out of your job though! Well, if you are looking to do something online, you could also try freelancing websites like elance. Quite a few of my friends also used to work for essay consulting companies or web editing gigs. </p>
<p>I do agree with the fact that working in office is pretty vital. Meeting people and etc. But recently my attention was attracted to different ways of earning additional money (bills don’t pay themselves d’oh) and there are really a lot of them.
