I was wondering if anyone else is in this situation. I have an off-campus job working 15-20 hours a week, and I am away at school living in the dorms. I am finding it difficult to balance having an off campus job, something I associate with summer, and still managing to focus on my schoolwork. Does anyone have any tips or experiences? I just feel like working off campus this year is a lot more distracting than working on-campus last year.

If you can afford to not have a job, I would suggest talking to your employer about only working during the holidays and on breaks. It really is stressful working and going to school no matter how many hours you work. It’s hard enough for me to work, go to school, and not live on campus, so I can’t imagine how stressful it must be to work, go to school, and live on campus! You don’t deserve to have that stress. Just focus on school, learning the information you’re studying, and passing your classes.
