Workload of CS self paced courses?

<p>Can anyone give me an idea of the workload for CS9G Java and CS9H Python? They're both 1 unit courses but I doubt that they're only 1 unit worth of work. How does it compares to taking CS3S for 2 units?</p>

<p>Workload is equivalent to 2 units. Fail rate is relatively high mainly because people find they can’t put in the time.</p>

<p>A very talented EECS major I know, (TA’s CS61A, I think he has a 4.0) took the self-paced CS9H (Python) class and admitted the class was a lot more work than 1.0 units. He didn’t say it was too hard, but if he thought the workload was a lot, I would just study the language myself and ask a friend about little things you might not get. All the CS self-paced resources are online.</p>
