<p>This country has been very good to me, and I absolutely love the USA without question. But I am crying tears of joy with this tie, because it makes it so much easier for Ghana to make it through</p>

<p>So, in order to advance, the US will need to win or draw against Germany; or, if they lose, hope Portugal-Ghana ends in a draw, or that they have the tiebreaker over the Portugal-Ghana winner. </p>

<p>If you told me before the tournament we’d have 4 points after 2 games and could still easily advance with a loss, I’d laugh in your face. But right now, my heart hurts :(</p>
<p>Meh, it kinda sucks. The last thing those chops deserved was a draw. But if either game in Thursday is a draw, then we go through.</p>
<p>So there is gonna be a guaranteed new quarter finalist this year since Colombia, Ivory Coast, or Greece will play Costa Rica in the round of 16. </p>
<p>A half-fit Ronaldo’s not doing very well… I’m 60% sure at this point that U.S. is going through. </p>
<p>Although the aesthetic fan in me wants to see Ronaldo at full strength go on, I think that the U.S. team has done very well so far and deserve to go through.</p>

Lukaku was doing poor. When the BEL coach subbed him off, he should not have reacted that way. The ref didnt call a lot of fouls on the Belgians. but dat 87th minute goal doe </p>
<p>Korea 2 - 4 Algeria
Ok. Algeria was op. but KOR’s play in general was horrible in first half. Second half was the interesting part of the game. It was a good game overall.</p>
<p>USA 2 - 2 Portugal
Ronaldo’s skills were op. but otherwise lacked a lot. POR was playing w/o 5 of their key men yet still did well. Ronaldo kinda played poorly but that express delivery cross for that last goal

<p>Ronaldo I thought had a lot of opportunities but slipped up, which was understandable, with his injury and all. Although, his last play was good, which I hate to admit.</p>
<p>I almost threw something at the TV when Portugal actually scored in the last 30 seconds, my goodness. So painful to watch. I’ll be biting my nails through the entire USA vs. Germany match on Thursday. </p>
<p>If USA beats Germany, we’d get Algeria in round of 16 and France in round of 8.</p>
<p>If USA loses but advances, we’d get Belgium in 16 and Argentina in 8.</p>

<p>It was SO crushing watching that goal at the end, although I would have happily taken a draw to start with. However, Ghana will miss Muntari through suspension while Portugal gets Pepe back, so that game should either be a draw or a narrow Portugal victory. I feel that the USA and Germany coaches would agree to have their teams stop trying if it’s still tied after 60 minutes, but that’d be SO illegal, lol. Algeria surprised me, but that was due to South Korea’s poor defense. I was upset seeing Mexico go through yesterday.</p>

Costa Rica 1-1 England
Not too much of a big deal anyways. England are just playing for pride.</p>
<p>Italy 2-2 Uruguay
This is one match that I’ll definitely watch. Italy needs only a draw to advance, while Uruguay needs to win. It should be a great game, especially seeing Mario Balotelli and Luis Suarez on the same pitch for the first time in almost two years.</p>
<p>Japan 0-2 Colombia
James Rodriguez will be far too much for the Japanese to handle. Look for the Colombians to kill this off early.</p>
<p>Ivory Coast 3-0 Greece
Easy for the Ivorians. I wanted to put 3-1, but I’ve no reason to believe that Greece will ever score at this tournament.</p>
