yea true, they are overrated in fball...and british food for the most part is disgusting in my opinion, just fish and chips are cool with me lol...however if not england...

I root for deutschland...

isn't it kinda interesting that we basically never really hear anything about a lot of countries, but once the world cup begins, we all come to recognize a few we never thought existed...haha...just me contemplating

oh yea there was this really awesome cartoon in Newsweek today where it shows the earth and a huge football right next to it and it asks "what does the earth revolve around?" (if you answered the sun, you are probably american)...check it out

There goes the US.......sadly besides the Dempsey goal....the only real highlight of the game was the newsflash about the Isiah Thomas and the New York Knicks, an organization run so poorly there should be books about it by now......

GO KOREA!!! I hope we advance from our group. I visited Zurich once and took a wonderful train ride through Montreux but I hope the Swiss fall.
Anyways, nice try USA... maybe in 2010.

VIVA LES BLUES ._______.''' wth heck are u thinking trying to cheer for the country that tried to beat us! ROOT FOR NETHERLANDS OR AUSSI KOREANS!! AKA GUS HIDDINK IS FROM NETHERLAND AND COACHES AUSSI!!

I'm now rooting for Spain, and I hope they go all the way. However, they have some obstacles ahead of themselves.

I think they have a good shot at beating France. Spain has been performing very well lately. (The last game they played against Saidi Arabia was won using mostly the current second string players. However, Spain really slacked during their second half so I think that's their biggest weakness.) However, I think that Brazil will also make it to the quarterfinals. Now that would be a game: Spain vs. Brazil.

Shame on you Reeses. I thought you were my friend! Rooting for Spain against France! hehe! Seriously, if I am any good at analyzing the game, I'd say France will beat Spain and Brazil. But I agree Mightynick, if France cannot get its offense in high gear, I favor the winner of the Germany vs Argentina game to win the tournament. Let us wait and see!

I forgive you reeses. I am not one to hold a grudge! Oh well, in 72 hours, we'll know whether to say vive la France or viva Espana! hehe

On a side note, you do realize that the way the French cheer for their soccer team is by saying "allez les bleus" which means "let's go blue". Are you sure you won't cheer for France now! Let us face it reeses, Michigan and France are natural allies! LOL

WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO ENGLAND WINS AGAINST ECUADOR!!!!!!! They played pretty crappy actually..Thank God for Beckham and his sweet free kicks...
