World History Prep

Hey Everyone,

I'm a junior in Vancouver, BC. Canada.

I am thinking of self studying for the World History II test; however, I keep on having doubts on my abilities to master this test.

Could anybody please offer some insights on how to self study this test.
What books to use? Where to find mock exams? How long did it take you to study for it?
Whether or not you think the exam is tricky or hard?

Thank you so much for your time,
Vicky :)

Hi,

Kaplan for general material and Barrons for pictures. Practice tests by blue book and kaplan. Should be 700+

BARRONS IS THE BEST, go with it and youll be fine! also buy the blue book of collegeboard!

Barrons. I finished it in about two weeks
I don't know about others but one strategy I used was making a summary scheme in the end of each chapter and finally after finishing the book I did a summary scheme or outline for each civilization or event ( for example world war two or cold war etc). And of course the best way to finish it is making at least three practice tests( unfortunately I had no time left)

Well, you have plenty of time to study--six months. :)

Wow. Great Strategy Ricciola. How did you do on the test?

well I think that I did good..hoping 760+ ... but the scores aren't out yet
Anyway you have plenty of time to study efficiently... Don't forget that practice tests are the key for your success especially in world history( There is a great possibility that similar questions ON your practice tests will be repeated on the real SAT.So try to do as many tests as you can..
