I'm taking honors world history/humanities this year as a sophomore. The class however, is part of a humanities curriculum and is not a typical world history class.

We don't have a world history textbook, but rather an art textbook. We do not study eastern civilization at all. We look mainly at a civilizations art and, while we do look at history, we don't get very detailed. The course is very rigorous, just not on typical world history subject matter.

Because it's not a regular world history class, and I don't have a world history textbook, I don't think I would be prepared to take the SAT Subject Test in world history, although I might like to.

How much would it take for me to prepare for the test? Is it worth it? I'll be taking APUSH next year, so should I just plan for my social studies area test to be on that, as well as the AP exam? If you think I should, how? I don't want to rely on a prep book alone, but I won't have time to read a full textbook by the June test date.
