World History?

I just finished an honors course (grade-95/100) in May and I'm thinking about taking the SAT II WH this October. I've taken two practice tests from CB and they both seemed kinda hard and had a lot of info that my class never covered (especially pre-history stuff). Should I practice/study a lot and take it? What books should I use to prepare to get the best results? ...or should I just forget it and find another subject?
Thanks for any help.

That test was a joke. I didn't have a rigorous global studies class and had finished European history for a year when I took it. I still did better than 98% of test takers and got a 780. I thought the practice tests were hard (got mid 600s) but I had used Barron's tests which are known to be overly-difficult.

CB tests should be relatively accurate though but the grading curve on it is pretty generous. It's up to you whether to take it or not. Hope this helps.

I'd honestly only take an SAT2 on a course I had an AP class on.

Will you be taking AP World any time soon? Otherwise my advice would just be to choose another subject.
