Worried about college major

Ok, so here’s my dilemma. I plan on going to UCLA this Fall as a History major. While I do enjoy the subject matter and classes I have taken thus far, I am a little worried about the usefulness of such a degree. I know that liberal arts degrees in general are very broad, but that is part of the reason I like them as well. I’m really not too sure what I want to do in the future, although I want to keep certain options open. Will majoring in History really restrict me in my job search? If I plan on getting an MBA or some type of masters eventually, what kind of jobs would a History degree get me so that I could get that needed experience. Also, would being a history major restrict my internship opportunities, say if I want to explore something Business-related (i.e. Big 4). Would a minor in accounting make me more marketable? Just trying to figure out my options…

Thanks.

If your goal is a Big 4 accounting firm, you really should consider an accounting major.
