Worried Crazy About Financial Aid

I haven't received my financial aid package yet, and I'm going absolutely nuts with worry.

I am 99.9999% sure that Notre Dame is where I want to go, but I just recieved my financial aid package from Cornell and it is not what I was hoping for...$16,000 self-help despite an EFC of 0. From what I've heard through the grapevine, Notre Dame doesn't come through with great financial aid, and I'm worried with a "poor" package like Cornell gave me, there's no way Notre Dame is going to give me enough. At the same time, I'm very confused, because the Notre Dame website says ND puts a cap on loans and the finaid rating on Princeton Review is 95/99, beating Cornell by 1 pt.

At this point, I'm just going to apply to a million scholarhsips and pray, but would anyone be willing to share their package and EFC with me, to either reassure me that I'm freaking out for nothing or to give me time to prepare for the disappointment of that ill-fated letter?

Ewww on the "crazy" and "nuts" references in this current news cycle. Be careful.......that money might not be coming your way at all.

Call ND's financial aid office to see what the hold up is...perhaps they need more info. Yes, apply to at least 10 outside scholarships per year.

i got a terrible offer from cornell, no grants at all, but i got 17k in grants from nd, so i wouldnt worry about it

Had an EFC between 8900 and 10500 depending on what method was used they left us with 13500 to pay in addition to the Perkins and Stafford loans
