Worst Class you have ever taken in high school?

What the worst class you have ever taken?
If you could retake or do over a class what would you choose?

I don't know if anyone had ask this. I'm an upcoming Junior and so far, sophomore year has been the worst. Academic and Social wise. Social wise, there were lots of fights almost every other day and Homecoming sucked along with the Pep Rally. Plus there was a bit of drama going on with my best friend and I but we made up now :) I'm really glad its over. Anyway, I wanted to ask it there is ever a class you wished you never taken or taken it online of something or a class you wished you could retake.

Class I wish I never taken: GYM. Worst by far for me. I only took the class because it was required and I hoped to play basketball or run the track. But it sucked. The boys at my period like to hog the balls and during track they like to throw rocks or block the kids who are jogging during track so I walk behind them. Not only that but the gym stinks like spit sometimes and the boys actually spit inside the gymnasium for everyone to see. They even did spitting contests. The floor was stick because of food and/or drinks so instead of sitting, I walk the track with one of my friends who has this class with me. There was also some other things that I don't want to mention. I feel so disgusted.

Class I want to retake: AP Human. The easiest class I had ever gotten a C from because of the tests. The test my teacher had gave us have nothing to do with the AP exam or the textbook whatsoever, and I dislike her very much, in my opinion. I wish I done better though.

What about you? :)
Sorry for my English, I was rushing a bit ^^"

Ap environmental science. Booooooooooooooooorinnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggggggggg

still got an A though. 92.52 =]

AP Computer Science / AP Physics B

They both had the same teacher and despite him being a MIT grad, he had absolutely no teaching ability in addition to being an incredibly boring person

AP Biology. The entire school, including staff and students who weren’t even in the class that one year, would agree. Holy balls it was a lot of work. Both semesters sucked, but I got a relatively high grade in both semesters compared to most others in the class (except for my friend – she was a beast when it came to bio).

I wish I could retake AP World History. I could have done so much better in that class had I not been so preoccupied with AP Bio and realized my passion for history earlier.

Gym. It was my ONLY B freshman year because I physically couldn’t do the work. (I badly needed surgery.)

I wish I had skipped Spanish 3. I was easily ready for Spanish 4. I had a joke of a Spanish 3 class so I forgot everything by the end and did poorly in Spanish 4.

I wish I could retake Alg 2, and Chemistry. I had surgery several times that year and missed a ton of school resulting in poor grade. I could’ve easily pulled off a good grade in both had I not had surgery.

Accounting. I HATED THAT LADY. I received a B due to her laziness and because she’s incompetent as a teacher. NEVER did she teach anything, AT ALL. Accounting is not something that you learn on your own, and her “practices” consisted of graded Tests.

Music - I would have been okay with a regular band class but it was actually like world percussion, meaning we played bongos and taiko drums. And the teacher was an idiot. And our grade was based solely on the mid term - which was performing at a concert. She didn’t grade us individually; instead, she said, “I heard a lot of talking so you all got a bad grade” and music is still the lowest grade I’ve gotten.

Honors Biology- Teacher was awful to put it into an analogy it was like she taught us addition and subtraction but the test was about Trigonometry

Worst class: Honors Economics. It was soooo boring.
Retake: Honors Pre-Calculus. I struggled pretty much the entire semester (majority of my grades on tests were B’s, sadly; I also got three C’s, two F’s, and luckily SOME A’s.). Then it all seemed to click right at the end and I got a 100% on the final. I was uber happy because it was completely unexpected, but I still ended up with an 85 in the course. Now I’m only going to take regular Calculus next year so I don’t risk getting a C in AP Calc.

Tech Info I. That woman needs some excitement in her life.

Art.
I was a silly freshman, and didn’t realize it was an -invest 50+ hours of your life per project or you’re going to just pass- kind of course.
Also I disliked my teacher, who killed my love of art.
Yeah.

Would like to retake Algebra I, even though I took it in 8th grade. My attitude toward school for all of middle school was basically “idgaf”, and because math isn’t my strong suit … well … yeah. I’m fairly decent/good at math now, but I wish I had just learned the material in the first place, instead of learning it for the first time in Algebra II.

AB Physics freshman year, worst class eva~

Worst Class- PreCalc (junior year)

I’ve never experienced a class where a teacher could verbally degrade me so many times and then act like she didn’t do anything. The only way to get on her good size was to kiss butt and kiss it hard. Which I don’t do know matter who you aren. I’m glad I’ll never have to see her again.

Accounting 1 we litterally did work out of workbooks all year(keep in mind I am a rising junior). When my teacher didnt know the, answer to a question she either asked some one in the class or used google to find the answer!!..it was bad…so bad…still got a A and a 100 on the final though…haha

Sent from my DROIDX using CC

Ceramics I Minor. Never met a teacher that disliked me that much. I’m not terribly creative, but she wasn’t exactly helpful either, plus she scolded me for being behind everyone when I wasn’t (and I switched in a month late, ergo I would be a month behind; but I caught myself up quickly).

How do you get a C in Ceramics? By having this woman, that’s how.

^I got a B in Ceramics. But a C is crazy!
Worst class: Either Bio or First semester Geometry. Bio because I almost got a C (parents had to intervene), topic was so boring and my teacher hated me!

Geometry because I was smarter than my teacher and most of the class (we literally did a worksheet where I had to explain to my teacher how to do the problems) And he hated me because I did well ad basically taught myself. I got a B first quarter because of his stupidity.

Retake: Algebra 1 (I would actually do my HW)

Ooh, another Algebra I retaker? I retook Algebra I myself…was scheduled to take it in 8th grade, but I somehow missed out on Pre-Algebra and had never been taught things as simple as variables and inequalities. Teacher thought I was stupid and a ■■■■■ when I asked what “the x’s” meant.

Best part was over Christmas vacation…she e-mailed my mom every assignment I had missed and told my mom I HAD to make them up (I wasn’t diligent on my homework back then, but I had only missed 5-6 assignments) and had to do every problem out fully. It took me at least 2 hours per assignment and I got no credit for it (on the plus side, inequalities finally ‘clicked’, 6 months later). Finally I sucked it up in January and told my guidance counselor I wanted out and got booted down to Pre-Pre-Algebra or whatever in a class of 10 kids where they needed a teacher’s aide to help all the kids out besides myself, because they had that much trouble. And I still had the same teacher, but she was sugary sweet to everyone in that class.

And I somehow pulled an A- out. And took Algebra I again; didn’t do much better but at least I understood things.

Algebra I the first time around was actually probably worse than Ceramics, but Ceramics actually counted for something and most of middle school sucked.

I didn’t actually retake it but I didn’t do any of my HW and so I got a B

Oh. Niiice.

In all of my math classes, homework was always 30% of the grade or something like that.

Definitely Honors Earth Science (required for all freshman at my school). The teacher sucked!!! I think we ended up doing around 9 projects that were all dumber than the next. I didn’t learn anything in that class and the teacher just flat out did not care. It seemed that she was just there for a pay check.
