Worth it for medschool?

<p>So basically I would like to know if transferring from the University of Florida in Gainesville to the University of South Florida in Tampa would be worth it. Here is my situation:</p>

<p>I just finished my 2nd year of undergrad as a biology major. I messed up quite a bit but I feel like I have matured and am ready to conquer any course. I'm sitting at a 2.6 gpa and they're probably kicking me out of the major. I want to attend medschool (I know it sounds like it's not possible but one way or another I'm going to be a doctor, I know this now finally). I am originally from Tampa so I'd have a great support system from my family and am ready to put in the work 100%. I wanted to start fresh (chem1, calc1 ect). I know that do medschools only count a retake grade so I will definitely apply to those as well as md. I know that I would perform better living at home. Would it be worth it to transfer and live at home in my current situation? </p>

<p>DO schools will only count the retaken grade. MD schools will use both in your GPA calculation.</p>

<p>If you think you will be more successful academically living at home, then that’s what you need to do.</p>

<p>if you genuinely feel that being away from home is affecting your grades then it makes sense to transfer back home.</p>
