Currently I have 1 score for the ACT and 1 score for the SAT.

My ACT score is:
35 composite
34 English
36 Math
33 Reading
36 Science

My SAT score is
750 CR
790 Writing 11 E
720 Math
2260 Total

My only reason for retaking the SAT (already signed up) was to correct my 720 math. After getting my ACT score, it looks like I already have a 36 (in both math AND science)

I was wondering if it's worth it to retake the SATs. I have already signed up and now it's a matter of whether or not I attend.

It all depends on what colleges you’re applying to.

If the colleges you’re looking at superscore, I’d say yes. That way even if your CR or Writing go down and your math goes up, you’ll still keep those other scores. Even if they don’t, I’d still say one more time can’t hurt, especially if you think you should have done better on math (Jan had a such a harsh curve).

Either way, congrats on both of your fantastic scores!

The main gripe with this is that I know that I can get an 800 in math easy. I just hope that my other scores do not go down. (Also the 73 dollars down the drain)

I retook a 2370 just to see if I could get a 2400, which I did. It never hurts to retake it. Whether it be because you actually want a better score, or just as a challenge to see if you can do better.

I did it because I felt it could be done since I’d gotten so close the first time (2 questions away).

It never hurts to retake? Sure, it does. Any time you put into studying and taking the test is time you could be spending with friends, reading, or sleeping, and sleep is a precious commodity.

My score is only 30 points higher and I’m retaking. I want another chance after that crazy Jan curve. If you think you can do better, retake. You don’t wanna end up regretting it once college admissions come around and you think a higher score could have been the difference. And with those scores and good prep, a 2400 is in play.
