Worth taking over again for Writing?

<p>I am 100% content with my M and CR score. (1440 combined)
However, my W score is 690.. definitely not horrible, but not as high as my other two scores. I did great on the multiple choice, but I only got an 8 on the essay. I am a good writer...I just don't do well in spontaneous writing assignments. I know if I want to get really anal about it, I can practice a lot.</p>

<p>Anyways, is it worth retaking the SAT again just for writing? If my essay would have been higher (I got a 10 the first time)..I probably would have gotten around a 720 instead of a 690. Do colleges even care that much about a W score?</p>

<p>i have the exact same problem- 1480 combined with a 670 writing and 8 essay. i don't know what to do.</p>

<p>yea class of 2011. all the colleges' websites only talk about the writing section for the class of 2010 (2006).</p>
