Worth taking three SAT IIs? And Question on UMKC

I was looking at medicalplanet and the ones that only required three SAT IIs were Brown (no chance for me lol top 2%), Northwestern like George Washington University for BA/MD programs so it really worth taking three SAT IIs if I am not going to apply there. I am thinking of taking two right now.

Also, for UMKC, it doesn't really say much for it there, any general stats to have good chances of getting in, I am out of state.

Thanks.

My thought is one more test is just one more hour when you’re there anyway, so why not? Make sure you take the right ones though. I took three originally (Biology, Literature, and U.S History), then found out I needed Chemistry and Math II for a program, so I had to go take those as well. As for UMKC, either post your stats or PM them to me if you want advice. As an OOS student from Colorado this year, I was rejected without an interview with a 4.4 GPA, 34 ACT, Eagle Scout, Physician Shadowing, Hospital volunteering, Lifeguarding, Reading Tutor, Camp Counselor, among other things. I did hear of other OOS getting interviews with different stats though, so I’d definitely apply. From everything I’ve heard, the program sounds like it’s pretty good and gives you the foundation in medicine you will need. Good luck with applications!

Well I just don’t want to do bad on literature and if I doubt I will really need it, then I don’t know. As for stats, my ACTs were 34, volunteer, NHS, etc. but not nearly as much ECs as you probably have.

bump…

You’ve taken the ACT already. Many schools accept the science section in place of the SAT IIs. Also, I’m pretty sure all of the schools you’ve mentioned require 2, not 3. Medicalhelpnet’s list was made before they eliminated the SAT II Writing, which used to be counted for one of the three.

Thanks schrizto, so I do not need to take literature? Since I just took chemistry and math and was going to take literature in fall.
