Would an overnight be worth it?

Interviewing can do that. So can reaching out to alumni or students. However, I think visiting most effectively displays interest. Even if you don’t do the overnight, the info session and tour are really good and demonstrate a lot of interest. If the overnight isn’t what you want to do (even though, believe me, it is amazing), I really strongly recommend exploring Rice’s youtube page for your own benefit because the videos pretty accurately convey the environment at Rice.

@123456789woop‌ Unfortunately, if you’re a senior and haven’t done so already, it’s too late to request an interview, either off-campus or on-campus. How far away from Houston are you? If you’re in the East Coast, like me, an overnight is probably your best option since you may not have a feel for Rice or Texas at all. If finances are a concern and you live far away, I highly doubt Rice would be concerned with your level of demonstrated interest. I feel that its role in the admissions process can be really overestimated.
