You need to figure out your spacing…

How great is the financial aid at Cornell?

Not that great.

How is the social life at Cornell? (I don’t mean just parties…)

It’s what you make out of it… this question is impossible to answer. There’s always going to be something to do if that’s what you’re wondering.

How often do average Cornell students go home during breaks?

Fall/Thanksgiving/Spring a lot of students that live in the state and neighboring states will go back home. Students who live in the South or on the West Coast either visit their friends/stay with them or stay on campus.

Is there anything to do besides what’s on the campus?

Compared to what? NYC? Probably not. Compared to Hanover? Sure. Plus, you’ll find yourself almost always doing things on campus anyway.

What groups/clubs/ and/or activities do most Cornell students get involved with?

…Too many. Just search the number of clubs.

Are most Cornell students the typical type A- hardworking/ play hard kind of people?

Man your questions seriously generalize way too much. There are a fair share of students who study a lot, and not much else, a fair share that barely study at all and pay the price later, and a fair share that balance between it.

What core classes do most all incoming freshmen take?

Depends on college.

How many students participate in study abroad/ internships/ programs during school or on breaks?

Depends on your program. For at least some Foreign studies study abroad is required. Most preprofessional students end up getting internships or go on programs during break.

How is the food at Cornell?

“Good” as in good selection, but you’ll also get tired of it.

What should a person’s main reason be to apply to Cornell… besides the fact that it’s a top school?

Uh to be honest, if you think these are the reason why you’re asking if you should come to Cornell or not, then I’m not sure you should apply.
