Would anyone be interested in having me host?

Are any of you interested in having me host you for an overnight stay? I can do Monday nights, since I don't have classes on Tuesday. Some areas I cover really well: the music department and scene at Wesleyan, gay life at Wesleyan (I haven't figured it out 100%, but I'm working on it), the FOOD, the dorms, the sciences department, and the social life at Wesleyan. I'm actually heading over to the Admissions Office right now to see if I can sign up to host someone on Monday. Anyways, let me know if you'd be interested!

that would be awesome... if i had enough free time even to visit!! ha

but you mentioned gay life at wesleyan- very important factor for me. can you tell me about that?

You can't visit? :( That really sucks. I know a guy from California who found time to visit. Uh, anyways, gay life at Wes is fantastic. It's extremely accepting, and loves the community almost like no other school does. :) Part of Orientation was the BiLeGaTa workshop, which answered people's questions about differences in sexual orientations and sexual identities, and also introduced a lot of terms that I can't list on here. This is coming from a gay student from the New York City area. :) And yes, I chose Wes over NYU. In fact, I didn't even apply to NYU, though I spent most of my summer at Washington Square! :) Hope that this helps, avantgardener. This obviously doesn't go into the gay organizations and gay events at Wes, but if you wanna know more, feel free to send me a message.

Patrick,
I am gay and I want to be at an accepting campus, I take it Wes fufills that criteria. Would that be ok to mention in my application as a reason for attending or would that be frowned upon

Although that certainly wouldn't hurt, I don't see why you would need to. It doesn't necessarily give you an advantage or a disadvantage. I would simply focus on what you want to study as well as what you can contribute to the Wesleyan community.

It's so nice to see so many other queer kids interested in Wesleyan =)
