Would ESL affect my transfer?

<p>Hi I am currently a polytec freshman</p>

<p>English is not my first language, and I slacked off on my diagnostic exam due to jet lag.</p>

<p>And now my school is requiring me to take ESL course.</p>

<p>Its one semester course and gives me same full credit for English course, but it would say ESL on my transcript.</p>

<p>I am planning on transfering out after a year or two, so I am wondering would the ESL have impact on my transfer plan.</p>

<p>Or does GPA outweigh course levels?</p>

<p>No. If you transfer with an associate degree with a decent GPA, then you’re good at most school.</p>
