Would GREATLY appreciate any input

[i also posted this in College admissions by accident...]

Well, as of now nothing really matters since I sent in everything but... yeh just for assurance purposes only I would really appreciate any sort of response regarding my chances to my choice colleges.

well to start off i have applied to

Rutgers College/Livingston
University of Deleware
Babson College

i already heard from other rolling colleges but i dont plan on going since they are too far

Ok well moving on to why Im so worried

my standarized test scores are above average .. as follows

SAT 2C- 780
SAT 1C- 740

SAT - 1370 Math + Verbal.. my writing score is same as verbal w.e. it sucks
740 math + 630 verbal

I have a fair ammount of ECs, work experience and a lot of volunteer [ think of it as 500+ hours in total] with my church , missions etc. the whole works with a complete graphed font 10 resume on some nicely invested resume paper if that accounts for anythign haha... Oh, and my essay is very strong in that my counselor loved it, one my close english teachers told me it was one of the best he has ever read and other English Majors have told me it is strong as well.

I am taking a farily difficult course load with 3 APs and 2 Honors my Senior year and ive only taken APS and Honors classes throughout highschool with the exception of maybe 2 CPs but w.e. anyway

the bad thing is i have a rise in grades but my total GPA is 2.9... HORRIBLE i was shocked to hear it but in a sense i shouldnt be because my Freshmen year was horrible .. being constituted with Cs and even a D as a final grade.. but with a progression of grades i do in fact have 4 As and 2 Bs my first semester as a Senior with APs.

Ive heard countless times that a low GPA and a high SAT means great potential but slacker.. hopefully my rise in grades would constitute I changed my ways as a student??
I dont know the college I really want to go to is Babson,, but even though my SAT is 100 points over their average and I most likely beat most candidates in the SAT 2s.. in math but my GPA is just killer.. any input pleaes?? Im dying here...

You're in everywhere, so kick back and enjoy senior year. Rutgers is everyone's safety, my friend got in with a 1150 on her sats and still got a full scholarship. And your're in at the other two colleges at well.

Not that I am much of an authority on the matter but I think you are fine. Colleges like reformed slackers. You amazing SATs, ECs, and essay will make up for your GPA. Good luck.

thanks for the reassurance :)

Which colleges have have already accepted you?

pittsburgh

That's good - Pittsburgh is similar in selectivity to your schools. I think you will have a good shot at Babson - they are likely to take your rising trend into consideration. Best wishes!

you guys think an interview would be worth it .. like do i need it? or should i just be active to show interest etc. like on their website
