My 10th grade schedule:
Geometry Honors
English 2 honors
chemistry 1 honors
AP European History
Would i be able to handle all these classes? I think I can but I’m not sure. My teachers recommended me for all these classes but I heard AP Euro is very rigorous. I don’t think I’m doing any extracurriculars, maybe basketball or track and field but that’s about it. Did any of you have a similar schedule like this and were you able to handle it well?
This is certainly doable, but it all depends on the student. If your teachers recommended this schedule of courses, then they have full confidence you will do very well.
seems doable, I know plenty of people who had a similar schedule and did fine, it really depends on what kind of student you are. If you have good time management and don’t mind having to do some work on weekends to get ahead if you know you have a busy week coming up, I think you’ll be fine.
Well… um… I do sort of have a problem with time management and procrastination but I’m getting better. I found out that the way to have good time management is to plan out what you will do for the day and get it done.
If you can push your way through the procrastination / laziness barrier, then you’ll be okay. At the end of the day, it’ll depend on how diligent of a student you are. Sophomore year is an excellent year to master your time management skills and experience a rigorous schedule.
Yeah, I agree that it won’t be hard to handle if I don’t procrastinate. Sophomore year is a good time to have a rigorous schedule because I will be able to take ap classes in 11 and 12th grade, thats why I was fine with taking these classes.
Yes, it’s 4 of the 5 core classes as honors. Where’s your foreign language (5th core class)? Is it honors or regular?
It should be doable if your teachers recommended you for these classes.
Im taking spanish 2 as my only standard class.
It definitely looks doable.
Yeah, it is but the problem is I have a little problem with procrastinating and wasting time.
are you okay continuing with this behavior? Or are you trying to get better, work with phone on plane mode and computer off the internet, in a secluded/calm area of the house (or library or cafe)…?
Im getting better. I plan what I’m going to do everyday by making a list and plan on what things I need to get done for the day. As soon as I get home, I immediately start on homework. I don’t watch tv and relax anymore because I know what if I do that, I will lose track of time. It’s a work in progress honestly. Hopefully by next year procrastination and laziness won’t be a problem anymore.
I even destroyed my xbox controller lol but I don’t really care cause hopefully the reward for focusing on school pays off. Ive blocked sites like twitter instagram and Facebook. Like I said before, I’m making some process.
It sounds extremely doable! Some teachers though are much more strict/lenient than others, so be aware of which teachers will understand and which won’t if you ever do get so overworked that you must put off an assignment. Good for you to take such an ambitious schedule! Best wishes
