Would I be considered an under represented minority?

I am a Lebanese Muslim, who can fluently speak and write Arabic, one of the most rare modern day languages. Also, keep in mind Lebanon is one of the smallest countries in the world, which has less than 6 million people in it, and there is about another 3 million who immigrated to other countries, also one of the most poor.

No. Plus URM only refer to US citizens, not Cdn such as yourself.

And your facts about Lebanon don’t affect how colleges view their needs.

URM = under represented minority in schools. It only applied to American Indians, Latinos and African Americans with US citizenship.

I am from Taiwan, a bastion of Chinese democracy. There are 120,000 of us in the US!
I don’t count either.

No, Middle Eastern is White. URM applies to African-Americans, Hispanics, Native Americans, and sometimes females or males at some schools.

It’s stupid how colleges even care if you’re a URM or not.

hey man! i’m lebanese too.
apparently we are considered caucasian on paper

but i dont think it is one of the poorest…
