What am I?

I've seen similar posts about people asking if Arabs are considered URM and I've checked with the US Census website, and they're not...they're Caucasian...

BUT most Arabs that have asked those questions are from Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, etc. and to tell you the truth those people usually look pretty white (no offense)

I'm from the Arabian Peninsula and I'm a slightly dark guy (think average Indian skin color) and most people confuse me with being half white/black am I considered an URM because unlike some Arabs I don't "look" Caucasian, when applying to college I'll probably check "other" but how do colleges view someone whose "other"? and is there anyway that being Arab would help me?

Thanks

Well, you can just say your "color" is black...If you were in America during the time of Slavery, you would have been a slave..so whatever...Lol, LIBYA 4 LIFE!

Well...I'm not a black guy...I'm a brown guy

check other, write what you are, and move forward. As long as you don't check caucasian colleges will be more than willing to call you a URM.
