I am a first generation to grow up in the united states. I have done 100 hours of community service, 50 of which were out of the country.

I have family in both france and paraguay and in buenos aires. I want to go to both paris and buenos aires for overseas semester. I also want to make a class for indepenent study on stock market history.

Do you think if I included all that in my essay I would accually get in. I release my GPA is low and have no extra curricuars at school.

Well, ya never know until you get your decision back!
It might not be the same everywhere, but my Aunt worked with admissions for the University of Pennsylvania at one time and she always said that A+ students were easy to find and she knew they’d get tons of them, but with the early decision applicants that’s when they’d pay special attention to students who just stood out in one way or another even if they weren’t taking all AP classes and got a perfect score on the SAT. :P

Stern is a really competitive school but if you keep your grades up, do lots of things you love outside of school, and accurately portray that in your essays then you’ve got just as good of a shot as anyone. ^^

Use the Force and don’t stress out!
