would i qualify for a scolarship?

I recently saw Mizzou's campus on CGD on ESPN, and it caught my eye because it looked absolutely beautiful. A couple friends of mine are applying, so I figured I'd give the school it's due diligence.

I used to be a huge slacker. I didn't do homework , never studied for tests, did nothing after school...It was a disaster. Then about halfway through my sophomore year I realized that what I was doing was going to hurt me in the long run. From that point on I never recieved below a B. However, the damage had alraedy done,as my freshman year GPA was pretty low and my sophomore year GPA was just ok. Junior year I had a huge improvement and really did as well as I know I can. This year I'm doing well so far as well.

So here are my stats, and tell me what you think

Freshman year: 2.78 GPA
Sophomore Year: 3.14 GPA (Honors English)
Junior Year: 3.72 GPA (AP Gov, Honors English, History, Business classes.)

Cumulative GPA: 3.23

School doesn't rank.

I go to a top 10 school in NJ, and we typically do very well at most colleges (Northern Highlands)

First time: 610 Math, 620 Reading, 640 Writing 1870 total.
Second time: 610 Math , 620 Reading, 680 writing, 1910 total.
took a third time in oct., awaiting scores

Take a look at the freshman admissions requirements here:
[Test scores | Undergraduate Admissions | University of Missouri](http://admissions.missouri.edu/apply/freshmen/requirements/test-scores.php)
It looks like you are eligible, but if you have any questions, e-mail the admissions office. They are very helpful. Missouri’s admissions is strictly by the numbers.

There’s not much scholarship money at Mizzou for nonresidents. However, the cost of attendance compared to OOS costs at other universities is still pretty good as far as I can tell. OOS tuition did increase for 2010-2011 for the first time in the past two years. Housing costs have increased at a greater rate. Be sure to factor in travel costs; Columbia is two hours from St. Louis and Kansas City.

Here are links to information about scholarships for nonresidents:
[First-time college students: non-residents | Student Financial Aid | University of Missouri](http://financialaid.missouri.edu/types-of-aid/scholarships/first-time-college-students-non-residents.php)
[Mark Twain Nonresident Scholarship | Student Financial Aid | University of Missouri](http://financialaid.missouri.edu/types-of-aid/scholarships/scholarships/mark-twain-nonresident-scholarship/index.php)
These scholarships are awarded strictly based on your stats, and you have to maintain a specific GPA (different for every scholarship) to keep them. It looks like you would have to get your SAT scores up a little bit to qualify for the Mark Twain, which is an automatic scholarship for OOS students with certain stats (they only count math and reading). For most of the other scholarships, you have to have a specific major, be the child of an OOS alum, etc. So you may not have much luck here.

There are also scholarships not listed here that incoming freshmen may qualify for. You don’t have to apply separately for those, but they’re automatically awarded at the discretion of the school you’re applying to (agriculture, journalism, engineering, etc.) based on your high school record. These scholarships seem to go to really top students. (Don’t get me wrong–you’ve done a good job of improving your grades and study habits, and you should be proud of that.)

Read all of Mizzou’s admissions website to learn more, and then think about what works best for you. It’s a very easy application (no essay).
