@Daddio3 Work study and unsubsized federal loans went away and then my grant dropped by a few thousand dollars.
Wait, your financial aid offer from Georgetown included UNsubsidized loans? I was expecting $2500 subsidized and that was about it. Work study going away is great, btw.
@Daddio3 Yeah, from other colleges I got subsidized and unsubsidized loans, but Georgetown only gave me unsubsidized. Also work study being gone is give and take because a lot of on campus jobs only take work study students. But then again I understand why because those students benefit the most from those jobs.
@JoeGoe Happened me too. Subsidized and unsubsidized loans were included, and my overall loan amounts were higher than I had expected. I’ve been led to believe from my other colleges that I can expect only small subsidized loans or pure grants, so I don’t expect to attend SFS. A shame as everyone says we are made for each other.
